Around Hinterbrühl you will find yourself close to many interesting sights:
Mödling was a town of residence of the Babenberger Kings. Several buildings date back to this era (Romanesque Karner, St. Othmar´s church). In Mödling you can see buildings where Beethoven lived and worked
At Burg Lichtenstein there are exhibitions and the Nestroy-Festival in August.
You can walk to Husarentempel, a relic of the monarchy.
At Stift Heiligenkreuz, founded by Leopold in 1135, you will find graves of the Babenberger family and precious treasures. At the cemetery is the grave of Mary Vetsera, who died with crown-prince Rudolf in nearby Mayerling.
